The origin of the clothing brand "Carpet Company" is a Baltimore-based skateboarding and streetwear brand started in 2015 by brothers Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem, who grew up in an Egyptian-American household and began by hand-screening shirts in their parents' basement. This brand is distinct from the historical origin of carpets as floor or wall coverings, a practice with ancient roots in nomadic cultures like the Achaemenids and later developed into the massive tufting industry in places like Dalton, Georgia.
