Stussy

Stüssy originated in Laguna Beach, California, in 1980 when surfer and surfboard shaper Shawn Stussy began embellishing his surfboards with a handwritten signature logo. He later transferred this logo to T-shirts to promote his surfboards, and the brand officially launched as a clothing company in 1984 after partnering with accountant Frank Sinatra Jr.. The brand's popularity grew through word-of-mouth within surf, skate, and hip-hop cultures, becoming a foundational streetwear label.
